all about fika
F I K A – (n.) A moment to slow down and appreciate the good things in life.
Direct translation:
“Coffee with friends.”

Fika is a daily tradition in Sweden. More than that, it is a way of life and an integral part of the Swedish culture. According to the official Government website, Swedes don’t even like to translate the word, for it detracts from the true meaning of the tradition.

This is the reason we decided to name our coffee Fika Beans. We want our coffee to bring a tradition into your home too. We hope that our coffee provides you with an experience, more than just fulfilling a habit.
The process of Fika involves a coffee break, company, and sweet treats are not mandatory, but strongly encouraged. The purpose of Fika is to set aside a moment to be present and enjoy some quality time. While the tradition is focused on quality time with others, we are also fans of quality time with one’s self.

Coffee as a tradition has been a part of our lives since the beginning of our story. It has always been our “pause” to come together, gather ourselves, and be present in the moment.
Fika is in our hearts, and in our cups. We encourage you to join us and make Fika a part of your daily ritual too.
